One of the oldest and best preserved Christian monuments in the world, built in the Byzantine times, bears many legends and boasts on its rare icons. Pieces from former ancient temple are seen inside the church and the courtyard where the church's Byzantine Museum is also located.

Set in a renovated Venetian building, the municipal library is well organized and has a friendly atmosphere. You can find books, periodicals mainly in Greek but also in other languages, a special juvenile collection and public internet access and a special audiovisual collection on Paros and surrounding islands (group screenings room available upon arrangement.) The library boasts of the largest text collection on Paros & the Cyclades.
